French Bohemian -
This concept is
inspired by the unconventional way of living of the French Impressionists, associated with free spirits as well as connections to various social movements. The bohemian lifestyle is marked by a lot of thinking & making art & discussing among like-minded radicals in French cafes. Evokes the aesthetic of Impressionist art, the stripes synonymous with French fashion, and languid, sunny days spent among friends.
Weird Medieval Guys - This concept is inspired by mythical feasts among quirky friends & creatures in fairytales. This concept includes illustrations of ‘weird’ characters, whimsical & eccentric typography, and references the idea of an eclectic group of friends coming together to celebrate and enjoy a meal together.After deciding on the ‘Weird Medeival Guys’ concept, I had to think about how I would combine the idea of medieval illustrations with the flavors of our beverage. Thus, the idea of making the characters themselves into fruit was born. Inspiration for the shape & expressions on each face was taken from actual medieval illuminations. The company logo was inspired by the iconic wide-eyed expression many medieval animals have, set in Louise by Velvetyne Type. Our final three character illustrations are also seen above. Below are the final packaging designs for each flavor & rollout for the brand.
